Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: R360,000 - R480,000/year

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data management
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
Implement security and data protection measures
Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in backend development
Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java
Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
